A simple game of cards and dice which opens up daring conversations.

From adolescence onwards, one of the great struggles we face is how to reconcile our own desires with those we find socially acceptable. The best encounters with friends are those where we can talk honestly about what's going on in our lives, sharing triumphs, joys, fears and longings - without the usual shyness or reserve.

This game guarantees that the warmest, most fascinating conversations won't have to be left to chance. With the help of a dice and some cards, the game asks participants to answer a series of questions around career, sex, money, relationships, family, gently inviting everyone to share important bits of themselves in an intimate and playful atmosphere. By thinking of confessions as a game – as a sociable and exploratory activity, as opposed to a risky affair – the cards prompt us to open ourselves up to interesting and exhilarating conversations, allow us to be a little more honest around the most intimate aspects of ourselves.

The dark, rich colours have been designed to reflect the atmosphere of a secret club or drinking spot where one might naturally feel the thrill of a slightly out-of-bounds or illicit activity, as a reminder of our less polished and more risky selves.

Shipping Charges

We offer a flat rate of $24CAD for shipping items throughout Canada and USA, and free shipping for purchases over $250CAD before taxes.

We do not refund shipping and handling charges and you are responsible for all shipping costs on merchandise being returned to us. (See return policy here.)

If you reside in a country outside of Canada or the USA, please create a basket of what you would like, take an screenshot and email it to us (hello@shoppublicmercantile.com) with a request for a custom shipping quote.

Note: We offer free local pick-up from our retail location at 1804 Government St, Victoria, BC, during our business hours.

Return Policy

Thank you for shopping with us! We want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase from us. If you need to return an item, please note that all items must be returned in the condition that they were received - Not Worn, Altered and Washed, and with All Tags Attached.

If these conditions above are met, and the item is in perfect re-sellable condition, you can return regular priced merchandise within 10 days of receiving your order for an exchange or store credit only.

We do not refund shipping charges. Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs and any customs charges incurred by us if sent from outside Canada.

Final Sale items cannot be returned or exchanged. If we receive a returned Final Sale item or items, the package will be returned to you, we will notify you via email, and you will not receive a refund.

Returns and Exchanges In-Store

Returns/exchanges are accepted in our store location within 10 days of purchase on products not included in the Final Sale list (see above).

We accept in-store returns in exchange for a store credit equal to the refunded amount. No cash refunds are given at the store.

Please provide the receipt/order number of your purchase so we can process your return.

Need to exchange the size or colour of your purchased item? You can make an even exchange in-store. Please contact the store by email (hello@shoppublicmercantile.com) prior to your visit, to ensure that the replacement item is available at the store.

Defective Merchandise

We will do our best to carefully check your item(s) prior to shipping. If you believe that you have received defective merchandise, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery of the product to be eligible for a refund. There are no exceptions. Please send us pictures of the item(s) that are damaged, along with the box and packaging.

Incorrect Merchandise

If you were shipped incorrect merchandise (style, colour, size, etc.) please notify us within 3 days of receiving the product to be eligible for a refund. We will pay for the return shipping for incorrectly filled orders.
