East Van Bees candles are created from the highest quality beeswax, cappings beeswax. Cappings wax is the cleanest newest wax the bees produce that seals the cells of the honey. The wax is cut off when they extract the honey and then filter it to 1 micron. East Van Bees practice sustainable beekeeping so never take more honey or wax than the bees are OK with (they ask them!)
